The 1 page you MUST have on your website (legally!)
Yes, you need a homepage, and there are plenty of other pages that really make your website stand out. But there is one page that EVERY website needs - no matter what! And that is a Privacy Policy page.
No, it’s not sexy, but it is illegal not to have one.
Your site’s Privacy Policy should also be easy to find (it’s typically somewhere in the footer) and include information about the type of information you collect (e.g.: emails, names, etc), how personal data is used (e.g.: to track conversions, send marketing emails, etc), and a description of their rights.
June Mango provides a basic Privacy Policy for all our client sites, but the depth of your Privacy Policy depends largely on your website. There are few free templates swirling around on Google, but I highly recommend getting a real-deal version created by a lawyer (like this one).
Also, I’m NOT a lawyer - you know that, right? So of course, none of this is legal advice. Just best practices and web-safety! :)
